Daily Gain .9
Total Above LIW .7
Current Weight 160.1
So up .9 from yesterday...Im ok with that considering it was the first day I was eating so many calories, and with the 8:30pm strawberry/whipped cream debacle. I just need to keep a lid on it and make sure that I dont get 2 or more pounds above LIW....
Need to take my little guy for his 15mo checkup this morning, so this will be short and sweet. Would love if you would post your favorite first week P3 tips and foods in the comments so I will have some good support...
A gain of .9 isn't bad for the first day. Especially since you feel that you ate too much.
ReplyDeleteI stuck with whole foods. Avoid sausage--I couldn't find a single brand in my grocery store that didn't have sugar in it. When I wanted sausage, I bought plain ground pork, seasoned it myself, and made my own sausage patties.
I got myself into trouble my first P3 by having to try every low-carb recipe I'd found. After the third day of P3 I was 2.4 over LDW, so already on day 4 I had to do a steak day. Another 3 days and I was 2 pounds over, which I ignored because it was Thanksgiving. By waiting the extra day, I was 5.2 pounds over LDW, and my steak day didn't take me down far enough to get me to within 2 pounds. I gave up at that point, and that's the only reason I had to do a second round.
On my second P3, I ate cleanly and never went more than 1.4 over my LDW.
So my advice is, hold off on those recipes for a week. Add some variety to give your taste buds something to rejoice about. But don't go overboard by having to taste everything within a day or two.
